Hummus of dreams

Making your own dips has to be one of the easiest healthy alternatives you can make. Hummus is always a crowd pleaser, topping it with pomegranates adds a little something extra for the eyes and the belly.

Ingredients

2 cans chickpeas

2 fresh lemons squeezed (1/4 cup juice)

2 tbsp tahini

1 small garlic clove, minced

2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil, plus more for serving

1/2 tsp ground cumin

Salt to taste

3 tbsp water

1 tsp ground paprika, plus more for garnish

1/2 pomegranate (seeds)

Method

Strain chickpeas from can and rinse off residue

Add all ingredients to a food processor and blitz until smooth and creamy

Pour hummus into a bowl

Drizzle olive oil on top and sprinkle paprika along with pomegranate seeds
